This article will answer these queries and simultaneously provide you with loads of fun facts about this coffee chain, so make sure to read the whole post.

A Brief Overview Of The Starbucks History

Without a doubt, Starbucks is considered one of the most well-known coffee brands in the world today. On March 30, 1971, the Starbucks Coffee Company opened for business at 2000 Western Avenue (Washington). Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegl, and Gordon Bowker were the first three people to start Starbucks Coffee chains. The main office of Starbucks is based in Seattle, Washington, the United States. Currently, the company has more than 21,000 stores in 65 countries.

The story goes that at the University of San Francisco, there were three students named Zev Siegl, Jerry Baldwin, and Gordon Bowker who knew and got along with each other. Baldwin and Siegl both became teachers soon after that, while Bowker was the only one pursuing his writing career. At that time, the owner of Peet’s Coffee taught all three students how to roast coffee and encouraged them to start their own coffee businesses. Then, on March 30, 1971, they decided to open a small coffee shop at 2000 Western Avenue in Seattle. Surprisingly, they made it to the famous Starbucks brand as it is now.

In fact, the original goal of the business was just to sell pre-roasted coffee beans and the tools to make coffee. The free samples of ready-to-drink coffee were just a way to get people to buy coffee beans and the equipment to make coffee. At first, they still bought coffee beans from Peet, but later they bought the whole Peet’s coffee.

When Howard Schultz, who was hired as CEO at the time, realized that Starbucks could completely sell brewed coffee, but the owner didn’t agree, he decided to go out and run their own business. By 1986, Mr. Howard Schultz had bought Starbucks, merged it with his store, and started to grow the business.

It’s amazing that, in 1994, Starbuck has grown rapidly and added 425 stores in such a short amount of time. But that’s not all. In 2013, Starbucks owned a total of 19,767 stores. With a stock market value of $51.6 billion, it was named the world’s biggest coffee brand.

As of the most recent numbers, Starbucks has 21,519 stores in 65 countries, and more than 151,000 people work there. According to these numbers, Starbucks opens two new stores every single day.

Is Boba Tea Sold At Starbucks?

What Is Boba Tea?

Boba Tea, also known as Bubble Tea, is a milk tea drink that is very popular with young people today. Simply put, this is a drink that has tea, milk, and tapioca balls (sometimes known as pearls) as its main ingredients.

Historically, Boba tea was first made in Taiwan nearly 40 years ago. Over time, Boba tea’s flavor and toppings have changed a lot to meet the needs of customers. When it first appeared, Boba tea was made with Taiwanese black tea, tapioca pearls, milk, and syrup to add sweetness. Boba can be made with different kinds of milk, but the first ones were made with condensed milk. In addition, pearls are made from tapioca flour, which is an important part of this drink.

Boba tea is served with a big straw so that the toppings can be sucked up. Customers can both eat and drink the drink, which is always great fun.

Is It Possible To Get Bubble Tea At Starbucks?

Although Starbucks has a very long list of drinks, they don’t include Boba tea in their menu. As a result, you won’t be able to get this drink at those chains. Many reasons have been said about why this is a problem, but the main ones are the high cost and trouble of dispensing. Starbucks is a high-quality brand, so if they offer Boba tea, they will need to buy good teas. It’s also important to note that making Boba tea will take some time and be hard to serve as the store has set fast customer service as a goal.

Starbucks has to be careful about how it adds new items to its menu and think about whether it is making the best financial decisions. As you might expect, chains have locations all over the world, and they try to keep things pretty similar from one place to the next. If Boba tea starts in a few places, it will have to be brewed for all of them, which will be very expensive and inconvenient to some extent.

Is Boba Tea Available At Dunkin’ Donuts Or Mcdonald’s?

Dunkin’ Donuts and McDonald’s don’t sell Boba yet, but they seem to know more about how popular and wanted it is than Starbucks. In other words, you can get a cup of tea and more strawberry-flavored pearls at these shops. This isn’t a perfect substitute for Boba tea, but it can give you a similar experience and is also very interesting to try.

In case you really want to drink Boba tea, my honest advice would be to go to shops that specialize in this drink for the best experience. You can also make your own Boba tea at home. It might be healthier than the kind you buy outside, but it will take time and requires thorough research.

Final Thought

What a pity that Starbucks doesn’t sell Boba tea, which numerous young people are fond of, but that doesn’t ruin the brand value because they’ve been moving in the right direction by serving their customers with the utmost care and quality. I hope you have a great time with your tasty Starbucks cups.
